As an All-round Employee Plant Breeding & Seed Treatment, you perform various tasks that are crucial for the quality of the seed production process. You care for young plants by sowing, transplanting, and performing crop care. Additionally, you harvest, clean, treat, and package seeds according to the highest quality standards.

You perform simple seed quality tests and check germination power to guarantee optimal results. Registering activities and results in the systems also belongs to your responsibilities. You work alternately in the greenhouse, seed processing room, and laboratory environment, which provides much variety in your workday. Finally, you get the opportunity to contribute ideas for improvements in the seed process and quality assurance.

As a Junior Cultivation Specialist R&D Flowers, your responsibilities include:

• Planning and executing cultivation activities, and contributing to the annual plan regarding space and location usage.
• Optimizing growing conditions by managing climate, irrigation, fertilization, and crop protection.
• Identifying and resolving deviations in consultation with breeders and colleagues.
• Managing greenhouses and equipment, ensuring everything is in order and runs smoothly.
• Supporting projects and trials to keep breeding activities at the forefront.
• Guiding crop caretakers and temporary staff in their tasks, ensuring safety, hygiene, and correct working methods.
• Accurately recording data on performed activities, such as crop protection, cultivation results, and any deviations, and processing and reporting this data to the Operational Manager R&D.
